WE ARE ONE: yoga community Policies
- Snow Policy: In the event of inclement weather, please call the studio at 301.987.0884.
There will be a message on the voicemail with information regarding cancellations. If no cancellations are mentioned, classes
will be held as scheduled.
- "Drop-in fee" for non-members is a suggested donation of $20.00. Any student unable to donate the full amount will be offered
a "karma voucher" to fill out and return to WE ARE ONE to supplement their donation. Karma vouchers enable WE ARE ONE to call
upon students to donate time and skills when needed. We often need help with organizing and advertising special events,
distributing flyers, fund-raising, cleaning and straightening the studio, computer skills, stocking bathroom supplies,
offering presentations, etc.
- All membership levels begin on the date that payment is received.
- Please maintain mindfulness after class when you put your props, mats and blankets away.
- Please be mindful of other students' sensitivities and make every effort to come to class free of heavy perfumes and
smoke.
- We understand if you must come into class late. Please enter respectfully and as unobtrusively as possible.
- Make sure your teacher is made aware of all physical and health restrictions in advance of class. It is your responsibility
to take the best possible care of your body in your yoga practice. We are happy to help, but we rely on you to keep us
informed of your special needs.

Dee's Award Winning Book: "You Don't Have to Stand on Your Head"

From the review in Yoga Journal (June issue)...
"You Don't Have to Stand on Your Head presents short stories and beautiful photographs ... Through these stories,
the book effectively dispels preconceived notions about who practices yoga and where, to encourge a diverse audience
to investigate the practice."
